I have an olderIBM ThinkPad 14xx 2 years old that I
bought refurbished for $1400. I have the drive
partitioned to have Windoze and Red Hat 7, and it
works very well. Maybe give the Big Blue a try, they
are becoming more Linux friendly these days...
