Help with format please

I have added a second hard drive to my RH7.1 box, it is a 2.5G formated
with the fat32 system.  I cant mount it because RH says that fat32 is not
supported which doesn't really matter to me because I want to format
it;)  So fow do I format my second hard drive so I can mount it and use
it?
