Daviosn(9008F)/NE2000 driver question

HI,
I can use NE2000 driver for Davison(90008F) lan card. 
Problem is that if i am installing 6.0, it installs
the driver good and it works ok. But if i am
installing
RH 7.0, i select NE2000 and it fails to install the
dirver. I even include "alias eth0 ne" in the
modules.conf and still no luck. ONly with RH 6.0 it
installed during the OS installation.
