Rodolfo, you had said earlier that researching smtp auth took a long time,
but once figured out quit quick to implement. Did you find a
website(s) that gave some clarity to the issue?
I did not. For once in my life I actually figured it out, also with the
help of something like a billion questions posted to guinness-list and
redhat-list.
Apart from the fact that I did not specify in my last message which were
the three relevant lines in sendmail.mc, that *was* pretty much complete
instructions. :) I didn't specify them since I didn't have access to the
box when I wrote the message. Those three lines are:
define(`confAUTH_OPTIONS', `A')dnl
TRUST_AUTH_MECH(`DIGEST-MD5 CRAM-MD5 LOGIN PLAIN')dnl
define(`confAUTH_MECHANISMS', `DIGEST-MD5 CRAM-MD5 LOGIN PLAIN')dnl
Run through my previous message, and post if you have any problems. I keep
meaning to write a set of instructions and put it on my webpage, but...
