Jim,
so far I understood / found out you are using Ethernet adapter 9008
from DaviCom semiconductors...
Definately, you do not need drivers for Linux since the card is
NE2000-compatible and uses NE module.
So far, I could see from the card description, the card is
jumperless/PnP. This way, you must have a diskette with software to
re-configure your card when you need it.
So, reboot your PC from A: drive (MS-DOS/Win boot diskette, if the
supplied diskette is not bootable) and using the adapter software to
check card's settings are 320/5. If they differ, adjust them the way
not to cause hardware conflicts, and alter your /etc/modules.conf with
the same IO/IRQ's.
