Wow,
Somebody was interested.
No local apps, standard K12 install.  I loaded OpenOff up on 2 machines, but 
my center really will, eventually, center around one or two multimedia apps 
for language learning, and no more.  No internet, nothing.  The clients are 
all identical, with a Trident4D soundcarc, and I had to specify that for them 
to work (maybe because it's ALSA?)
