What can cause the RPC to time out when trying to mount an NFS share?
I have a RH 7.1 install that should be exporting 2 directories. It worked
for a while, but then the server was unplugged on me and now the share will
not work. Second time this problem has popped up. When I try to connect
from another machine I get
'mount: RPC: Timed Out'.
This isn't happening consistently either. Sometimes it works and sometimes
it doesn't. It appears that I can get exactly ONE mount to work each time
I restart NFS on the server.
The results of my 'exportfs -v' are:
[root math_terminal /etc]# exportfs -v
/xterminals/root
*(rw,async,wdelay,no_root_squash)
/var/xterminals
*(rw,async,wdelay,no_root_squash)
Any suggestions at all will be appreciated.
