RE: [K12OSN] Microsoft Terminal Services

Rita,

I don't want to sound anti open source, but you do understand that the
Microsoft RDP client will run on ANY 9x, NT, 2000, XP box? And it also
only takes a matter of minutes to setup. Also if your attaching to a
Windows 2000 Terminal Server and workstations are Win2k, then you don't
need a terminal license at all.

Sometimes a speedy, low impact solution is better than radical change.

Just FYI

The district is fairly unreasonable re anyone doing anything different
than
what they specify. Is there any justifiable reason that they would not
allow
us to access Terminal Services via Rdesktop? (If we gave two licenses,
then
two people can connect at once, but if we want five people to be able to
connect at once, then we need five licenses.)

Thanks,

Rita Gibson
