You are correct and I think I kind of addressed that here.

If the workstations are Win2k, then one can assume that a person already
possesses a license for the workstations. Therefore, a person can
connect to any Win2k Terminal server and not need a license since A
Win2k Terminal server issues an unlimited number of "built in" licenses
to Win2k desktops for free.
This also goes back to the justification. As Julius said "there is no
justifiable reason, you are still paying for the ms [terminal] licenses"
It just depends on what you are really trying to accomplish.
The machines are in place, they are already being used...It's pretty
simple to install and place a shortcut on the desktop. It's done in
about the same time as it took to write this email and nothing has
changed to the end user except they have a new shortcut. It's a very
small learning curve....
I just wanted to state the other options that are available, so that it
would perhaps better the community and Rita's decision on how she
pursues her dilemma.
