not true, you still need a CAL for *every user* on *every workstation*
(that is, last time I checked, the CAL's were per-user per-IP, but I
could be mistaken on the number of CAL's needed, but you will need one
for every user at a minimum regardless of the OS they are using to
connect).
If I'm correct about the per-user-per-IP licensing, then going with
rdesktop on the LTSP server is the best solution, then all you need is
one CAL per user as they will all be connecting from the IP address of
the LTSP machine.
