Terrell, Norbert,
I've done an extensive search on the possibility of connecting
Earthlink sattellite modem to a K12 server. The consensus was that I was
welcome to write the interface. I have briefly considered relearning C,
but when I realized how appalingly bad the service was, the desire
subsided. APC interface is rather idiotic, as opposed to idiotically
simple and the usb version is a direct port of the serial, not the same
class of difficulty at all. APC actually has a TCP based interface which
seems rather easy to program for, because the tools are readily available
to do just about anything with TCP/IP. julius
