RE: [K12OSN] Accelerated Reader/Samba problem with W2K clients

Have you tried mapping the drive share on the clients?

Subject: [K12OSN] Accelerated Reader/Samba problem with W2K clients

Recently we set up some new windows 2000 clients at school. I was able
to image them, change the SID and computer name, then add them to the
domain. Roaming profiles are even working properly. The only problem I
am having is that the domain users, except root, are not able to use AR.
They get a "searching for data location: please wait" bar. It looks
like AR is unable to connect to the shared samba drive, but the drive is
available when i go into my computer.
Any ideas?

Here is the smb.conf
###########################
# This is the main Samba configuration file. You should read the
# smb.conf(5) manual page in order to understand the options listed
# here. Samba has a huge number of configurable options (perhaps too
# many!) most of which are not shown in this example
#
# Any line which starts with a ; (semi-colon) or a # (hash)
# is a comment and is ignored. In this example we will use a #
# for commentry and a ; for parts of the config file that you
# may wish to enable
#
# NOTE: Whenever you modify this file you should run the command "testparm"
# to check that you have not made any basic syntactic errors.
