Joy and Peace to you, and don't get the flu !!!
Question: Our district currently sits behind an N2H2 filter from our ISP
and it does a great job. Problem: The block policy does not include game
download sites. ( I love games - but school it not the place ;) ) I
would like to place a Squid filter at my head end to block certain items
locally that my ISP will not block. To the question - Has anyone done this
? A proxy filter behind a proxy filter ? I would use the N2H2 filter as
it sits with her current policies, and add the Squid box to monitor traffic
and block the game sites as they become discovered. I don't want the Squid
proxy to pass through N2H2 but exist as a second line of defense. I don't
think I need to cache, just filter/monitor. 155MB OC3 to T3 CS anyone !
Boy does this post sound like "Big Brother is watching" yikes...
- LTSP 4 - a fine example of human ingenuity. I can't wait for my ISO's.
Fine fine work. The students who work with me are very excited.
Thank you,
Tom Ventresco
