Been there, done that, and just for kix, I re-installed Windows98 on the
same machine last night and it runs flawlessly (well, as flawlessly as
Windows will run, anyway. . .)
I may go ahead and try another (another) IDE cable just in case the one I
tried was defective, too (highly unlikely).
