In any case, squid itself is primarily a cache. It is squidGuard (or
Dansguardian etc) that does the filtering. You set up your blocklists
however you choose - game sites or whatever. I'd actually recommend you
consider blocking banner ads too personally. It sure saves a lot of
bandwidth (and time and annoyance) around here - of course we have only
a 12mb pipe out to the web too.

squidGuard it is. Blocking banner sites is cool idea. I would love to cache if it does not mess up N2H2 filter. These game sites are making it really hard to enforce a "no games on school time" policy.
