Hi....simple question (not sure about the answer)
I want to create a shortcut either in the menu or the desktop for all
users that will allow them to get to the /opt/samba/profiles/ directory
and retrieve their documents from the My Documents directory. I can make
the launcher using the command nautilus smb://my-pdc/profiles and that
will get them to the profiles directory listing everyone on the
system....but I'd like to stick in a current username variable that will
pinpoint it to the user who is logged in. Any ideas? What can I add that
will direct the above command to the specific users folder based on the
username of the person executing the command.

nautilus smb://my-pdc/profiles/${USER}
should do the trick.
