Re: [K12OSN] Anaconda fails on fresh install

Julius,

Last time around with Beta13, you had suggested doing a manual config. that did .. almost work. I had to configure one card at the time, i.e. Install one card (remove the 2nd card) configure it, then shutdown install the 2nd card and restart & configure it manually. That does work as long as I don't restart the network.
Seens that V4 still hasn't resolved those issues, hmmm hint James can we get some insight into this .... .with or without a bottle or two of wine ;-)

WELL I can comiserate !!! I just finished installing V4 on two servers
without a hitch. But on the third with 2 NIC >:o . an SIS900 & a Realtek
8139 nothing doing !!! the two cards are properly configured with their
if-ethx file one DHCP & the other static but NO communications & no errors.

hmm got an extra case of wine ? I think I'll need it !! :-D

Did you try disabling kudzu on boot? That worked for the 2nd 3com NIC that
wouldn't work when I went to Fedora.

James,
I concur. kudzu made total hash of the networking with 3
interfaces present. i ended up doing a quick vi and disabling kudzu.
