I'm sure it's because I'm such a newbie and don't really know what I'm doing...
BUT, I'm having Perl problems. Here's the story...
My /var was full and I followed the advice of people on this list to install a new hard drive, partition and format it, copy /var (and some others to it). THEN, I decided to do a complete re-install (RedHat8.0) - default server options for apache and sendmail and I opted for Perl and CPAN - all using the RPMs from the CDs. The new server is set up to use the old /var (from my newly installed 2nd hard drive). Everything seems to work fine, as far as the webserver and email is concerned.
I then decided to upgrade Perl to the latest version (from 5.8.0.xx to 5.8.2). The original was an RPM the upgrade was tarball. I installed the latest CPAN from tarball. Use CPAN to install CGI, HTML::Template and other modules. All fine.
Now I'm trying to install "Webcalng-1.1trial" a web-based calendar and it tells me that the Perl modules I KNOW I have installed are NOT INSTALLED!
How can I fix this?
I probably should not have upgraded to the latest Perl (from an RPM), eh? What did I break?
Thanks for your help.
