Chuck,
I will finish the tests on the existing hardware and on the new box
just to determine if this is a hardware or a software issue. Right now
I am leaning heavily toward software. If I still determine software I
will try the new kernel. I however have no idea how to exchange kernels
but I do have a linux for dummies book (that is me) and will try the
kernel swap after that.

I downloaded a 2.4.23 after seaarching net for my smp p111
coppermine..Might try that! can give you a number from school since it
