Samps,

I'm another Aussie, but I can't help you with a pending need to buy lots
of fanless client systems. Instead I recommend against having to ship in
a bunch of machines from the States - as good a job as they are doing
over there :-) we need to support local suppliers.

The harder path is to "let your fingers do the walking" in the Yellow
Pages(tm) and source from any of the industrial computer suppliers in
your State. I know there are several in every State (no names come to
mind) that can supply you OEM versions of VIA Eden and Mini ITX form
factor client (single board computer) systems. Buying from these
suppliers (no frills) would be the cheapest, but you'd have to assemble
everything yourself, probably.

The easier method (easy because it's at the front of my mind at the
moment) is to look to this Aussie supplier for fanless clients built
around the VIA mobo:
http://www.everythinglinux.com.au/cat/systems/thinclients
All specs sound the same as the boxes the Yankie guys are talking about
and at $471 you are in the same price bracket after currency conversion.
HTH.
