Thanks for all the info on thin clients! Jim -- the new LTSP 150 looks
really great. The internal power supply sealed the deal for me. I
will order one Monday to have a "show off" thin client.
Anyone have an opinion on the usability of rdesktop? I have a license
for windows 2000 server (because all my servers are linux now
woohoo!!!), and to save a monitor on my desk, I was thinking of putting
the windows machine under my desk and use a terminal session from it on
the linux workstation.
Is windows terminal server performance worth my efforts? I don't
consider VNC a viable option, even on a clean network it's just not
*quite* tolerable. (call me picky) That really makes me wonder about
rdesktop and terminal sessions. Is it usable, or noticeably laggy?
Thanks again for any input.
