Jim,

If I am reading this correctly, I should let Oo.org think it is doing a new install, just point it at /usr/lib/openoffice.  I was using ./setup -net, but if OOo detects the prior install, it fails with the language mis-match error.

Also, I did install OOo on my Windows TS, but didn't get the install flags correct, so it installed as if for a single user.  Need to reinstall with -net option as well.  It runs, just complains about different users having file locks.

I can script the removal of the redundant openoffice directories and menu entries.

I can't try any of this till this evening, East coast , US.

Thanks for the support.  I am feeling more optimistic.
