Re: [K12OSN] direction of k12ltsp ?

Amen, David. Look folks, the software is GPL'd. Slackware is community supported; Debian is community supported; the BSDs are community supported. Everything licensed under the GPL that I personally can think of is community supported. You know what? Red Hat is part of that same community--OURS.

I am a former Microsoft employee who used to think that Windows NT was the greatest thing since readily-accessible chocolate. If someone like me can learn the benefits of our kind of "community support", then--believe me--anybody can.

what will happen to the future of K12ltsp ? Specifically all those that have initiated K12LTSP projects in schools, are we to be left by the wayside?

Would everyone please stop this? RedHat is NOT going away! It is a simple change in business model which MAY be for the better. The Fedora project is simply going to do has been done all along....only in a more "open" manner! Remember....a Fedora is a hat. too! :-) This "the sky is falling" attitude needs to stop....let's see what happens....my honest opinion is that things will continue to move along fine as they are now.
