Hello Paul. I somehow got scribus installed on one of my machines, so I
started thinking about it. I remember I had it installed on my laptop
(RH9), before I made the huge mistake of installing Zimian Desktop2 on
it and screwed it all up.
Then, I remembered I thought it was available via an apt repository. So
I logged into my LTSP server (which also works as my desktop at my
office when my laptop is not plugged in!). I su to root and typed
"apt-get install scribus" in less than a minute is was installed.
If you have never used apt, I can't recommend it enough! Go to
freshrpms.net and select apt, follow the instructions and enjoy the most
trouble free software installs you have ever dome.
Chris Curtis
P.S. let me know if you need more help.
