I'm trying to access my K12LTSP server via gftp / ftp but the
connection is refused & I don't understand why.
I have ftp running on server (verified with rpm -q ftp)
IPTABLES are stopped
My hosts.deny fiile does not have any exclusions

I can ssh into the server but neither ftp nor nfs are authorised ??

Suggestions ....

Norbert,
rpm -qa|grep ftp will only tell you if the package is installed.
i'm sure that ftpd daemon is not running. you can enable it in services,
or just use sftp - slower, but secure and always ready when sshd is
running. julius
