Hi, I could not get wireless booting to work (laptop as a thin client). The
group (K12OSN) educated me on this point. The technology is not there on
the router/access point end. I am sure you'll get lots of replies more
helpful than this one.
Note to group - I posted a request a few weeks ago concerning a RH 7.3 box
that just freezes up - crash - burn -nothing. I followed basically
everyones advice and found the problem. Migrated to another server, took
it out of service, then trouble shot the hardware. After cleaning the
socket contacts and sockets for memory and processors, I found either a bad
DIMM slot on the MB or the DIMM in slot1 is bad. I removed the DIMM and
disabled DIMM 1 and the machine is back in service. Also the "messages"
log showed nothing out of the ordinary. Strange, but working.
