Hello All. I'm not sure this is the best place to ask, but ask I will.
In an effort to keep spam at bay I have been putting stuff like
ALL: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
in my /etc/hosts.deny file on my mail server. But recently I realized
that this was not actually blocking anything. I was under the
impression that this statement would block all connections of any type,
including SMTP.
Can anyone shed light on anything that may work, or explain what
hosts.deny really does.
Chris Curtis
