How do you upgrade from an older K12 to Fedora? I didn't know you can upgrade with Fedora.
The correct way to do it is to just do a normal upgrade: download the ISOs, verify the MD5SUMS, burn them on to CDRs, boot off disc 1, be sure to use the verify option to make sure the burns were good, and then proceed to select the "Upgrade" option.

So what does apt-get distro upgrade do? or yum update? I did a yum update last night and it updated my kernel. I about had a cow when I realized that it was doing so. I've never updated a kernel outside of a CD distro upgrade. All is well, though. No problems anywhere, yet...
