RE: [K12OSN] useradd script?

Good point but all I did was use the find and replace function so it was
done in seconds.

You may want to try this. Instead of saving as CSV, insert a column of ":"
between the fields and save as TEXT. This will eliminate that annoying step
of manipulating 400 records in Notepad.

(Been there :)

I made about 400 users this way, made the file in Excel, saved as a CSV,
changed all "," to ":" in notedpad and it worked
(That makes more sence once you've read webmins documentaion on doing it)

Will

(Please dont start telling me to use OpenOffice insted of Excel! I used what
I had to hand and this worked)

You can do this with WebMin via a text file.

Is there a script that perhaps uses the useradd command as the heart
and reads a pre-existing /etc/passwd file to batch create users? Even
preserving old groups and passwords?

Thanks,
