Just curious, does anyone here on the list use Dan's Guardian for
filtering? If you do, or have in the past, I'm interested in
-how big is your pipe is to the internet?
-how many clients you have going through the filter?
-are you using DG to just block url's or are you using the content
filtering of DG?
-what is your DG server spec's for your setup?
-what's your general opinion of DG?

I use it to filter content and block sites for my
school (about 100 PCs). Our network is all
10/100baseT (mostly 100). We have a T1
connection. The box is a Celeron 533 with about
300MB RAM. It works beautifully for me. However,
I don't run anything else on this box! I like DG
better than squidguard because of it's filtering
ability - just what I need for a Preschool - 8th
grade building. I use the webmin module to
administer the system. Love it. Saved me $800
per year in subscription fees for a content filter
that didn't work properly.
