Re: [K12OSN] Linuxes on Apple xServe?

Hi all,
Just wondering if the Apple xServe can handle running Linux operating systems, like K12Linux or eSmith? I would assume it can since it's still a PowerPC chip, but I'm not sure. Can someone please advise?
Thanks
Nick

Check out Yellowdog Linux, they work the hardest to support all the various apple hardware.

YellowDog also sells Apple hardware with Linux preinstalled.

I've found a good tool is http://www.linuxiso.org It lets you search for different types of Linux for your processor type. The xServe is a PPC chip so search by PPC.

PPC chip also supports Mandrake, Gentoo, Debian and others.
