I have to say from personal experience that Mandrake on an Apples are
hit or miss. If you can get through the install process I have found a
slow and crappy working environment. Just my experience with it.
Gentoo on the other hand is pretty sweet once you take the time to get
it that way. Yellow Dog is awesome though. If you like Red Hat then
you will like YD. It is basically a PPC port of RH. They really do
seem to be the most devoted to Linux on PPC.
