[K12OSN] Cry for Perl/Webmin help

I've been abusing my ask/answer ratio lately, but I am truly befuddled. 
 I have a fresh install of 4.0.0 as a 
webserver/mailserver/accountserver for our district.  All is well and 
good, except I CAN'T get webmin to work for me...  I've never seen the 
error before, but as I click on "add user" after filling in the forms, 
I get:

Error - Perl execution failed

panic: realloc at ./user-lib.pl line 915.
----

FYI, line 915 calls getgrent()

I will also approach the webmin mailing list -- but this list is 
"family"  :o)

Any ideas?
