The latest quanta supports true WYSIWYG and is IMHO heads and tails over NVU.

ahh, thanks for that. I will stop busting my nuts trying to install nvu.

yeah, quanta rox. I like the folding nesty bits - that really helps.

I've been watching this thread with some amusement. I tried to try out this NVU to no avail (wouldn't install). I also noticed that Lindows was offering a free OS to NVU users, but their coupon didn't work when I went to their site (I just wanted to try it out is all...I do have a free Suse Pro box coming, though, since I emailed them about my school project).
I don't know why I bothered, anyway, with this NVU. To tell the truth, Mozilla composer does everything I need for developing pages. I can write the code in the html tab and then view the results in the wysiwig tab. What more could I need? If I wanted more, I know that both Quanta and Bluefish offer more features, but the truth is that I haven't made much use of them. Being relatively ignorant, if I want to do anything more than some basic html, I borrow someone else's code and tweak it to my purposes if necessary (doing everything in my power to assure that I am NOT stealing something that is not free to use, of course. I don't want SCO sueing me for sneaking off with a little javascript or something.)
