I put Warren's patched gdm package for Fedora in the K12LTSP apt/yum
repository.
There are two gotchas with this update that you need to be aware of:
1) When you upgrade this package it will restart gdm, TERMINATING
all active sessions without warning. Make sure everyone is logged
off before upgrading gdm.
2) This patched package WILL OVERWRITE the gdm.conf, breaking K12LTSP.
The fix is quite simple, run this script and reboot:
/opt/ltsp/templates/k12linux/gdm.conf-update.pl
Another feature that you should enable (it will be enabled by default
in K12LTSP 4.0.1) is "PingIntervalSeconds", which automatically logs
out non-responsive sessions. To enable this, edit /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf
and uncomment this line:
PingIntervalSeconds=15
