okay so here goes:
Hi everybody i'm Mike I'm new to linux, and i was introduced to this
discussion group mailing list, by my cousin Tony [www.photodharma.com]
anyway -
I am trying to get xmms to play my mp3's.
my system sound is working fine, when certain system events occur i get
sound to play without a problem.
i've downloaded all of the required plugins for xmms as far as i know.
after i've loaded a playlist when xmms starts playing i have no sound,
but it IS in fact playing.
I was thinking about this.
I recently had issues with xmms sound in KDE and gnome, but not IceWM.
I solved it by switching the sound server.
What gui are you using? I might have the fix.
