With your nubus machines, can you visit a site like 
http://www.flasharcade.com without crashing mozilla (or any other 
browser I've tried) ?

If you have NOT gotten those to work, perhaps I'm working on futility here.

To answer the other question about flash not working on PPC -- correct, 
BUT only the X server is running on the PPC machine, not the browser...

What was the XRENDER stuff all about, back when flash didn't work at all 
on linux terminals?  Is this something that might not be implemented in 
the version of X that comes with yellowdog 3.0.1?
