Thanks Norbert.
This is the third time I have installed the default ltsp, and I know the
services are active because 6 ws boot. The ws have from 48 to 64MB of Ram.
Have you heard of similar issues with the new version, should I try an older
version of the K12ltsp?
I corrected the NFS swap still nothing, I had trouble with video set to
"auto" (the screen would go blank), so I changed it to vesa.

Hi Barbara,
Welcome to the club of OSS proponents in Canada .. hey ....
Although I have commercial venture promoting linux in schools
(www.xtlabs.org) your problems seems to be from a "bad" install. We
regularly use compaq deskpro as WS with 3Com905 NIC without any
problems, (we won't count that kudzu misreading of the 3com cards...). I
might suggest a clean (default) install using all the default settings -
including the ltsp server IP 192.168.0.254, create your boot disks from
romomatic and everything will work.
1) Don't use NFS swap
2) WS should have 32+MB of memory
3) Standard video so setting can be "auto"
4) Check that you have the following services active;
nfs
tftp
dhcpd
xinitd
good luck
