Yes. You can do this in one of two ways. You can have an Applescipt on the OS9
machine scheduled to copy from the server or have a script on your K12LTSP
server copy the files from the client. It looks like you are leaning toward the
second.
You can connect to the OS9 machine with a smbmount command using the afp
protocol. Something like this:
mount -t afp afp://user:pass idisk mac com/user /Volumes/idisk
