I think one of the things that make k12ltsp special is that it is based
on RedHat only. Ofcourse one could make a similar package for other
distributions but i think that would make support and such much harder.
Now we deal with specifics regarding one perticular dist but imagine
what would happen if there was 10 different.
I dont say this to discurage but perhaps it would be something for
another group to do? As i understand it is a pretty straightforward task
to make a similar iso based on some other dist albeit much work.
Installing ltsp on another dist isnt hopelessly difficult if you are
used to k12ltsp either. I see k12ltsp as a stepping stone and as such i
wonder if it would be such a wase choice to make it more complicated.
Anyway i just love k12ltsp and i really hope for it to expand since it
has been such a cost saver and such wonderful tool for me. It would be
to bad if people missed what a gem this really are.
/cheers!
