K12LTSP is a "Terminal Server *Appliance*". Always was.
Appliances "plug in and go" - always do..
The advantage with the GPL, is that you may take a product (viz
K12LTSP) and do what you like with it.
So, if *you* would like to base K12LTSP on this distro or that, then
please go away and do it. By all means - get support from this list -
we all have the same goal. I am quite certain Debian/K12LTSP is
feasible, so lets see it..
It is hard for a distro to be everything to everyone, and recently
K12LTSP is being shovelled into every conceivable corner - it's
popularity on account of its' appeal, and a credit to its' developers.
But, too much is required of it now, and somehow we must abstract it
further, to the extent that it is capable of servicing a wider range or
installations, either by different CD sets, or other mechanisms.
sincerely,
Steve
