The machine really should only need to scan the message once because  
they are sending the same message. The problem is that they are  
(probably) sending multiple messages to everyone instead of putting  
all the recipients in the to, cc, or bcc field of one email. An even  
better solution would be a server side mailing list, like this one!!!
