Isn't that the purpose of IP telephony?  I would just make sure that you
still have at least 1 1FB at each location for emergency calls in case
your WAN goes down.  We are going to be setting up an Asterisk system
using the Digium FXO/FXS cards.  I have purchased 8 SIP phones, Snom
360 series.  I have had good luck purchasing hardware from Netxusa,
www.netxusa.com.  They have several knowledgeable people on staff and
always seem to be very helpful.  If all goes well, I would like to
setup one computer in each teacher's classroom and allow calls within
the district.  This will probably end up being a summer project.
