Is this a 64bit or 32bit install?

64 bit
With a tar of firefox from mozilla installed in /opt, it still crashes.

Can you give a link to a page that crashes on you?

How much memory do you have in your terminal? (does setting
LTSP_USE_NBD_SWAP=Y in lts.conf help?)

This is an HP t5515 that worked fine with the old FC4-K12LTSP...

What video card do you have in your terminal?

ATI Rage based I think.
