I don't think putting a group into a group works. I tried it a few years ago on Solaris but it didn't work. (I always thought that was a shortcoming of Unix/Linux). I think you'll have to use Ron's script or the alternative I suggested.

Wouldn't it be the other way around, add the users group to the fuse group?
