[K12OSN] Sound and Flash revisited (again)

I had sound with flash working, then with an upgrade it has stopped,
again.  I used rpmforge to download the latest (115) for CentOS 5
based on some list email from January.  However I do not have any
sound. /tmp/.esd/socket exists.  esdplay /usr/share/sounds/phone.wav
plays correctly.

Is there a step-by-step set of instructions for getting this working?
