question about hdstg1.img, stage2.img

perusing the loader code for anaconda, it became obvious that,
in doing a regular local cd-rom install, the hdstg1.img is in fact
not used at all -- it appears to be used only for hard drive-based
installs (well, duh ... i guess that would explain the "hd"stg1
name).
so, as far as i can tell, for local cd-rom installs, loader
goes straight to mounting stage2.img for everything it needs.
any clever people out there want to confirm this, while i wade
back into the code? thanks.
