Subject: 7.2 Kickstart fails...
Installing from a machine running 7.1 via ftp, I have these problems...
After copying both CD's to a common directory, I run..
/usr/lib/anaconda-runtime/genhdlist /path/to/the/folder
where "folder" is the root of the 7.2 distro.
I then check the hdlist and hdlist2 files which have been updated. good
so far.
but when I try to build a machine using a kickstart floppy made from a
bootnet disk image from 7.2, it gets as far as
Probing for mouse type: Generic - 3 Button Mouse (PS/2)
Traceback (innermost last):
File "/usr/bin/anaconda", line 589, in ?
instClass.setInstallDate(id)
.
. (some errors in kickstart.py listed)
.
KeyError 24
then it stops telling me it's safe to reboot.
Now...
Installing from a machine running 7.2 I get an error telling me that it
cannot
find the netstg1.img file which I know is there and I can get to it via anon
ftp.
That's as far as I get with either of them.
Kickstart works great for me from a 7.1 server, building 7.1 boxes but
so far
7.2 is a dead fish. Can anyone help me clear this up?
