With nfs, you can have anything available to your %post script(s) you
want. Getting it to the client with limited knowledge of the environment
is fairly easy as you can parse /proc/mounts to discover where the
server and base of the install tree are.
I switched from NFS to HTTP because of my internal firewall, and I
discovered it not so simple getting my customisation scripts to the
client.
Not impossible, or even especially difficult, but inconveniently
different.
