Hello list,
when performing a kickstart installation (redhat 7.3, but maybe the same on 8/9)
and doing autostep (or interactive), there are some
screens which read parameters for the installation process,
e.g. hostname, or ip-address etc.
Before postinstall there comes a message on tty3
"self.hostname = myhostname-entered-in-anaconda-screen"
How can I use this, and the other variables during my %post
(or %post --nochroot) ?
Or where are these parameters stored ? Maybe on the ramdisk or /proc ?
Thanks for any help appreciated.
Thomas.
